Job Description: Strength and Conditioning Internship Program

D1 Training Downtown Orlando is offering an internship program for aspiring strength and conditioning coaches. This is a hands-on opportunity designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that bridges academic knowledge with real-world coaching application.

Key aspects of the internship:

Learning Experience: Interns will learn the D1 coaching process, training systems, and performance philosophy in a dynamic, high-energy environment. The goal is to develop the next generation of professional coaches.
Target Audience: The facility serves a diverse range of individuals, including youth athletes, adults, and elite performers.
Responsibilities:
Assist coaches during training sessions.
• Help with setting up and breaking down equipment.
Engage positively and energetically with athletes and members.
Shadow lead coaches to gradually build confidence in leading warm-ups and drills.
• Attend team meetings and development sessions.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the facility.
What You’ll Learn:
• The D1 Training 5-Star Training System.
Session flow and programming breakdown.
• How to coach athletes across all levels (Rookie, Development, Prep, Collegiate, Adult).
Leadership and communication skills in both group and one-on-one settings.
Recovery, mobility, and injury prevention protocols.
• How to build relationships with athletes, families, and members.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in (or a graduate of) an Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or related program.
• A passion for strength & conditioning, fitness, and athletic development.
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and receive constructive feedback.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR/AED Certification is preferred but not required initially.
