Role Overview
As a Strategy & Process Intern, you will play a crucial role in helping Leidos maintain alignment and focus on critical outcomes. You will be instrumental in transforming abstract discussions and innovative ideas into tangible, actionable plans and clear documentation. A key aspect of this internship involves leveraging cutting-edge AI tools, such as ChatGPT, to streamline processes, summarize complex information, generate creative ideas, and significantly improve how work is organized and documented. This position is ideally suited for students who thrive on organizing intricate information, are passionate about process improvement, and are committed to helping teams achieve their strategic objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Goal and Project Management: Assist in organizing and meticulously tracking organizational goals, key results (KRs), and associated projects, providing teams with clear insights into progress and priorities.
- Task and Follow-up Tracking: Utilize collaboration platforms such as Jira, Planner, or similar tools to diligently track tasks, meeting notes, and follow-up actions, ensuring accountability and continuity.
- Documentation and Action Planning: Convert meeting discussions, raw notes, and AI-generated insights into concise summaries, clear documents, and actionable lists, facilitating understanding and execution.
- Visibility and Organization: Help maintain and update simple trackers, checklists, or dashboards designed to keep work organized, transparent, and easily accessible to all relevant stakeholders.
- Information Gap Identification: Proactively identify missing information, open questions, or pending follow-up items, and assist the team in accurately capturing and addressing them.
- AI Tool Utilization: Employ AI tools, including ChatGPT, to analyze information, summarize intricate discussions, and generate initial drafts of various documents, enhancing efficiency and content quality.
- Process Improvement Support: Contribute to efforts aimed at improving the overall organization of information, tasks, and processes across different workstreams within the organization.
- Experimentation and Prototyping: Support and participate in small-scale experiments or prototype initiatives exploring innovative methods for organizing information or tracking progress, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- Current Enrollment: Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university.
- Citizenship: US citizenship required.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Proven ability to clearly summarize information and effectively communicate ideas in written form.
- Interest Areas: A genuine interest in business operations, technology, corporate strategy, or process improvement methodologies.
- Productivity Tools: Familiarity with basic productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

- Pay Range: $48,100.00 – $86,950.00. This range is a general guideline and not a guarantee. Actual compensation will be determined by factors including job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data alignment, and any applicable bargaining agreements or laws.
