Job Description: Strategy Intern

The Strategy Intern at FreshDirect is a pivotal role supporting the company’s strategic planning and business growth initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world exposure to the inner workings of a fast-paced, customer-focused e-grocery business.

As a Strategy Intern, you will work closely with the Strategy team to perform crucial tasks such as:
• Conducting market research and comprehensive competitive analysis to inform strategic planning.
• Analyzing internal performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks for the business.
• Assisting in the creation of compelling presentations and strategy documents for senior leadership.
• Providing support for strategic projects, from their initial ideation phase through to implementation.
Collaborating cross-functionally with various teams on key business initiatives.
• Tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contributing to reporting on strategic goals and outcomes.
• Attending meetings with stakeholders and summarizing key takeaways to ensure efficient communication and progress.

To excel in this role, candidates should be currently pursuing or recently have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Essential qualifications include strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required, with familiarity in data visualization tools, Tableau, SQL, or Excel modeling being a significant plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail are also crucial. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, and demonstrate a keen interest in corporate strategy, growth initiatives, or innovation, ideally backed by previous internship or coursework experience in strategy, consulting, or business analysis.
