Job Description: Strategic Business Intern
This 12-week summer internship (starting May 19, 2025) offers hands-on experience in improving sales, building client relationships, and developing sales strategy within Medidata’s global sales organization. Interns will contribute to sustainable and meaningful work, working closely with experienced professionals.
Responsibilities: Under senior mentorship, interns will:
• Collaboratively lead go-to-market strategy and sales plays across accounts.
• Prepare executive readouts and presentations.
• Coordinate activities around account planning and business reviews.
• Lead programs to create sales opportunities and pipeline growth.
• Support pipeline, footprint, and growth analysis; conduct market/client research, and analyze industry trends.
• Assist the sales team in achieving revenue goals in specific geographic territories or named accounts.
• Foster collaboration between sales and product teams to ensure client needs are met.
• Maintain briefs for the executive team on each initiative.
Intern Innovation Lab: Interns will also participate in a cross-functional team project, developing an innovative solution to a current Medidata business problem and presenting their solution to senior leadership.
Additional Program Features: Instructor-led training, guided mentorship, exposure to senior leadership, and community service opportunities are included.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Rising Junior or Senior (rising Senior preferred).
• Strong interest in sales strategy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborative work style.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Proficiency in Google G Suite.
Compensation: The base hourly pay range is $25.00, plus a $3,500 sign-on bonus (for New York-based positions; other locations may vary).
