About the Job: Store Sales Specialist
The Store Sales Specialist role at REI Co-op is centered on enhancing customer outdoor experiences. This is achieved by sharing in-depth product knowledge, offering personalized recommendations, and engaging with customers daily. The specialist plays a crucial role in delivering REI’s 100% customer satisfaction guarantee by efficiently facilitating transactions, actively selling memberships, and promoting various REI products and services. Beyond customer interaction, the role also involves maintaining the visual appeal of the store and ensuring merchandise is well-organized. Leveraging a strong understanding of REI’s offerings, the specialist is expected to stay informed about trends and share this expertise with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Assistance: Provide support to customers by answering questions related to products, memberships, and special ticket sales.
• Visual Standards: Collaborate with store management, merchandising, and sales leads to maintain the store’s visual standards and presentation.
• Sales & Service Training: Actively participate in REI Sales & Service Training programs and effectively promote REI goods and services to customers.
• Store Pick-up Support: Assist with store pick-up operations, including receiving and processing products efficiently.
• Safety & Loss Prevention: Adhere strictly to REI’s loss prevention and safety procedures to ensure a secure environment.
• Flexible Schedule: Demonstrate the ability to work a flexible schedule, adapting to the varying needs of the business.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualities and Qualifications:

• Retail Experience: Previous store retail experience is preferred for this position.

Pay Transparency:
REI is committed to pay equity and transparency. The pay range for this position is $16.65 – $18.87 per hour. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as specific skills, experience, and geographic location.
