What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead & Develop: Communicate clear job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports, actively leading and developing store personnel to achieve their maximum professional potential using appropriate training materials.
• Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategic action plans utilizing company-provided resources to consistently improve operating results, effectively managing and revising weekly schedules for accuracy and optimizing store KPI goals and budgets.
• Personnel Management: Conduct interviews for store positions, provide informed recommendations to the district manager, and manage all personnel matters including recommendations for advancement and termination as appropriate.
• Customer & Team Relations: Oversee the appropriate resolution of both employee and customer concerns, ensuring all store personnel comply with company customer service guidelines and foster a positive, collaborative working environment that promotes teamwork.
• Compliance & Safety: Model, communicate, and supervise strict compliance with all company policies and procedures, along with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, while ensuring a safe working environment by identifying hazards and maintaining equipment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess prior experience in a retail environment, and have previous management experience, demonstrating the ability to understand and apply management principles effectively.
• Experience: Proven experience in leading and developing direct reports, along with practical ability to operate all standard store equipment, including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and other ALDI-provided technology efficiently.
• Skills: Strong leadership abilities, capable of developing rapport, trust, and open communication to enhance team performance. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and planning skills to manage time and tasks effectively. Proficient in both verbal and written communication, able to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies, and adept at facilitating group involvement in meetings.
• Bonus: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Flexibility to travel within divisional requirements for training across multiple locations. Ability to meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages, and a willingness to obtain certifications such as ServSafe for food safety compliance.
