Job Description
The role involves a variety of tasks primarily focused on customer service and store maintenance. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing efficient and courteous customer service.
• Properly packaging customer orders according to company policies and bagging manual procedures.
• Maintaining the bag racks by filling them.
• Assisting customers by unloading their shopping carts.
• Helping to keep shopping carts organized on the front end.
• Supporting cashiers to ensure efficient customer checkout.
• Retrieving stray shopping carts from the parking lot.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the workstation and surrounding areas.
• Assisting with stocking milk and eggs.
• Guiding customers to locate products within the store.
• Refraining from conversations with other associates while bagging orders.
• Understanding and being able to explain the ValuCard program.
• Assisting with sweeping and mopping all store areas.
• Maintaining neat and clean bathrooms.
• Helping to keep the parking lot and shopping carts free of litter.
• Working in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Returning misplaced items to their correct locations.
• Collecting trash and baling boxes as needed.
• Properly using the intercom system.
• Understanding shelf tags to assist with price changes.
• Stocking merchandise.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
