About Club for the Future

Club for the Future is a K-12 education non-profit organization founded by Blue Origin. Their mission is to inspire and encourage future generations to pursue careers in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) fields. They achieve this by engaging with educators and students through:

Hosting events: Club for the Future partners with external organizations to host events that introduce students to space exploration.
Developing online lessons: They create online space-related lessons for educators to use in their classrooms.
Employee engagement: They empower Blue Origin employees to engage with students and share their passion for space.
Providing access to space: They aim to inspire the next generation by providing opportunities to participate in space-related projects and activities.

STEAM Communications and Outreach Intern Description

This internship offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the history of space exploration by supporting Club for the Future’s operations. As an intern, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and will work on tasks such as:

Educational outreach: Assisting with developing and delivering educational programs for students.
Event planning: Coordinating and executing events, both internally and externally.
Marketing & communications: Supporting marketing and communication efforts for Club for the Future.
Data collection and reporting: Collecting and analyzing data related to program effectiveness and impact.

This internship is a great opportunity to:

Responsibilities:

• Take initiative and proactively contribute to the team’s overall mission.
• Coordinate events with minimal supervision.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to team spirit.
• Be prepared to step into various roles as needed.
• Collaborate with Blue Origin and Club for the Future departments.

Currently pursuings:

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in communications, hospitality, education, or a related field.
Experience in social media outreach, education, or project management roles.
Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
High emotional intelligence.
Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service abilities.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
Readiness to travel 25% of the time as needed.

Compensation:

WA applicants: $28.67 hourly
CO applicants: $28.67 hourly
