As a Statistics Graduate Level Tutor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing students’ academic success and understanding in complex statistical concepts from the comfort of your home. Your efforts will directly transform how students learn, fostering better outcomes and a passion for advanced statistics.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students and respond to on-demand instant tutoring requests.
• Explain advanced statistical concepts including mathematical statistics, maximum likelihood estimation, Bayesian inference, and generalized linear models.
• Guide students through designing experiments, performing multivariate analysis, constructing confidence regions, and implementing statistical models in software.
• Prepare masters and doctoral students for research methodology and advanced statistical analysis for their academic pursuits.
• Adapt instruction using statistical computing in R or Python, research paper examples, and proof-based exercises to meet individual learning needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of advanced statistics at a graduate level, encompassing mathematical statistics, hypothesis testing theory, and research methodology.
• Experience: Proven ability to break down complex derivations such as likelihood functions, posterior distributions, and ANOVA decompositions, emphasizing theoretical foundations and research applications.
• Skills:
• Advanced subject mastery in regression analysis, multivariate methods, experimental design, and nonparametric statistics.
• Proficiency in explaining asymptotic theory, Neyman-Pearson lemma, and interpreting complex model outputs.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style, adept at adapting instruction to individual learning needs and styles.
• Familiarity with graduate statistics curricula and common challenges faced by masters and doctoral students across quantitative disciplines.
