What You’ll Actually Do
• Tutor: Provide personalized online instruction to individual graduate-level students in statistics.
• Explain: Break down complex mathematical statistics concepts, including theoretical foundations and advanced derivations.
• Guide: Support students in applying statistical methods for experimental design and model implementation using software.
• Adapt: Tailor teaching approaches and materials, including R or Python computing, to meet diverse student learning needs and graduate curricula challenges.
• Manage: Set your own flexible schedule and handle invoicing for completed tutoring sessions on the platform.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced degree or equivalent expertise in statistics, demonstrating deep knowledge of mathematical statistics and graduate-level curricula.
• Experience: Proven ability to teach and explain advanced statistical concepts, including likelihood function derivations, posterior distribution calculations, and ANOVA decompositions.
• Skills: Mastery of topics such as maximum likelihood estimation, sufficient statistics, hypothesis testing theory, Bayesian inference, regression analysis, and multivariate methods.
• Skills: Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style, capable of adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs.
