What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide personalized instruction: Deliver customized 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions to individual students across various quantitative disciplines.
• Explain complex concepts: Break down advanced statistical theories like likelihood function derivations, posterior distribution calculations, and ANOVA decompositions.
• Guide through applications: Help students design experiments, perform multivariate analysis, construct confidence regions, and implement statistical models using software.
• Adapt teaching methods: Adjust instruction to align with individual learning needs, styles, and common challenges faced by masters and doctoral students.
• Utilize platform tools: Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to optimize prep time.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of mathematical statistics at a graduate level, including maximum likelihood estimation, Bayesian inference, hypothesis testing theory, and multivariate methods.
• Experience: Proven ability to prepare masters and doctoral students for research methodology and advanced statistical analysis, demonstrating familiarity with graduate statistics curricula.
• Skills: Expertise in breaking down complex theoretical concepts; proficiency in R or Python for statistical computing; strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style.
