What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver personalized instruction: Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students using the Live Learning Platform.
• Explain complex concepts: Break down advanced derivations like likelihood functions and posterior distributions for students.
• Prepare for advanced research: Guide students in research methodology and doctoral-level statistical analysis.
• Adapt teaching methods: Adjust instructional approaches using statistical computing software, research paper examples, and proof-based exercises.
• Solve practical problems: Guide students through designing experiments, performing multivariate analysis, and implementing statistical models.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced knowledge of statistics at a graduate or doctoral level, covering areas like mathematical statistics, maximum likelihood estimation, and Bayesian inference.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts such as asymptotic theory and generalized linear models, preparing students for advanced research.
• Skills: Deep knowledge of theoretical foundations and their application in biostatistics, econometrics, or machine learning. Proficiency in using R or Python for statistical computing. Strong communication skills with an engaging and adaptable teaching style.
