Tax Associate Staff II – State and Local Tax (SALT) – Hybrid | EisnerAmper

• Location: Hybrid – New York (preferred); also covering Minnesota and Illinois for salary context
• Pay: $65,000–$105,000 yearly (for Minnesota and Illinois; other geographies may vary)
• Team: Tax Group, which is the largest service line within the firm
• Mission: To provide trusted and innovative state and local tax solutions to clients, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for efficiency and impactful advisory services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Organize and cleanse client data for the tax department.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare state and local tax returns throughout the US.
• Client & Authority Interaction: Interact directly with clients as well as state tax authorities.
• Compliance Management: Manage registrations and business licenses for clients.
• Collaboration & Problem Solving: Collaborate with other state and local tax professionals and identify creative solutions to client issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent field.
• Experience: 1+ years of State and Local Tax (SALT) experience.
• Skills: Strong research skills, adept writing abilities, capacity to work well in a group atmosphere and independently, and strong problem-solving skills with a big-picture perspective.
• Bonus: CPA is a plus.
