Job Description: Stage Scheikunde/Laborant – Meetmethode voor stabiliteit van pigmenten in inktvloeistoffen

This is an exciting opportunity for an MBO student looking for a challenging internship in a large research company.

Your Mission:

Canon Production Printing’s ink research depends heavily on the stability of their pigment dispersions. They have developed two measurement methods: one for particle size (DLS) and one for viscosity (rheometer).

This internship is seeking a student who is passionate about actively contributing to the development of these methods, searching for the most efficient and accurate way to measure these parameters.

Under the guidance of the R&D UVgel-ink group, you will:

• Gain practical experience with the execution and improvement of chemical-physical measurements for the development of better inks.
• Research and develop proposals for improving the existing measurement techniques.
• Carry out a small accuracy study, independently planning, executing, and interpreting the results.
• Receive thorough guidance and mentorship in developing these skills.
• Potentially contribute your successful results to the further engineering of their inks.

Your Profile:

Currently enrolled in an MBO program, at least in your second year, in the field of chemistry, laboratory technology, or chemical-physical analysis.
Eager to contribute to the improvement of an existing measurement technique.
Able to work effectively within a larger team, clearly communicating and setting deadlines.
Available for a minimum of 4 months.

What’s in it for you?

A challenging assignment with expert guidance.
A stage/graduation allowance of €500,- per month.
Travel expense reimbursement if you do not have a public transport pass.
The opportunity to network with professionals within and outside your field, thanks to the diverse disciplines you’ll interact with.
