This Staff Accountant position is crucial for providing internal controls support across all L’Oreal North America business units, ensuring financial integrity and compliance.

• Team: Corporate Finance, BEST Record to Report, reporting to AVP, BEST Record to Report.
• Mission: Own internal controls support for L’Oreal North America business units, ensuring financial performance and compliance.
• Tech Stack: Blackline System, Microsoft Excel, SAP (or similar ERP – preferred).

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Journal entries, account analysis, and roll forwards required for the month-end close process.
• Assist: In the monthly closing process for assigned business units, including balance sheet reviews and various month-end analyses.
• Support: Internal and external audit requests, while also participating in process improvement initiatives and other assigned projects.
• Resolve: Discrepancies and non-compliance issues by interacting daily with business stakeholders.
• Ensure: Financial control through managing the accrual process, clearing aged GRIR, and performing monthly key controls for healthy GL aging.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• Experience: 2+ years of related work experience in an accounting team environment. Experience researching variance analysis is also required.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of financial and operational controls.
• Bonus: SAP or similar ERP experience, a consumer products background, CPA Certification, and auditing experience are preferred.
