• Mission: To accurately manage the management company’s core accounting functions, cash, and payables, supporting a polished finance environment.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks/QBO, Excel, Expensify, Ramp, Bill.com

What You’ll Actually Do
• Core Accounting: Own the quarterly close process for the management company within QuickBooks, which includes diligently maintaining all cash ledgers and executing precise bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
• Cash & Payables: Manage the complete accounts payable process, overseeing bill processing, ensuring timely vendor payments, and conducting thorough expense reviews utilizing platforms such as Expensify, Ramp, and Bill.com.
• Treasury Support: Handle highly sensitive cash movements, including verbally confirming wire instructions for security, initiating outgoing wires, managing Lines of Credit (LOC) draws, and accurately tracking inter-company payables and receivables.
• Cross-Functional Support: Provide essential assistance to the CFO and VP of Finance for various ad-hoc requests, processing capital calls, and facilitating cash distributions as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a Staff Accountant with at least 2 years of solid operational accounting experience, though the firm is open to more seasoned professionals seeking a stable and high-quality environment.
• Experience: Strong proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks/QBO and advanced Excel skills are essential, alongside experience with AP and expense management platforms such as Bill.com, Expensify, and Ramp.
• Skills: The ideal candidate must be incredibly reliable and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, particularly when managing sensitive cash ledgers, executing wire transfers, and reconciling multiple bank accounts. Professional and personable communication skills are critical for interacting seamlessly with high-touch internal stakeholders and executives. Additionally, a collaborative, dependable “startup/small-company” mentality is valued, thriving in a lean team with many moving parts.
