What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and partnerships, including necessary extensions.
• Audit and Review Support: Assist in audits, reviews, and compilations while organizing engagement binders as needed.
• Accounting Engagements: Complete corporate accounting engagements and prepare financial statements.
• Research and Planning: Conduct tax research and assist in tax planning initiatives for clients.
• Bookkeeping and Compliance: Perform bookkeeping tasks for individuals and/or estate trusts, preparing workpapers for estate/trust income tax returns.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, providing a foundation in basic principles of accounting. This is an early career position.
• Experience: One or more years of related experience in an accounting or tax environment.
• Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and a strong understanding of US tax regulations. You will need knowledge of state and federal tax form processes to accurately prepare forms, along with the ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations for many clients.
• Bonus: Professional experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis.
