This is a Staff Accountant role at a service company, located in Lewisville, TX. The TL;DR

• Pay: $80000–$85000 yearly
• Mission: This person ensures the accuracy and compliance of the fixed asset ledger for a growing service company.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain Fixed Asset Ledger: Ensure the fixed assets ledger remains accurate and fully compliant with all established accounting standards.
• Administer Asset Lifecycle: Oversee the complete lifecycle of fixed assets, including their capitalization, depreciation calculations, retirements, and transfers.
• Ensure GAAP Compliance: Uphold strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all other applicable regulations in fixed asset reporting.
• Support Operations and Audits: Track construction-in-progress, facilitate timely capitalization, and provide necessary reports and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Drive Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for enhancing fixed asset processes and take the lead in implementing these improvement initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial field.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting.
• Skills: A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience specifically with fixed assets is preferred.
