Staff Accountant – AI Trainer | DataAnnotation

The Tone:
This is an independent contractor role with DataAnnotation, performed remotely from the United States. DataAnnotation is expanding into an exciting new area, focused on teaching AI Assistant models to become more useful tools specifically for finance professionals. This role is critical as it directly contributes to measuring the progress of these AI chatbots, evaluating their logic, and solving problems to significantly improve the quality and practical application of each model in a financial context.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Improve AI Assistant answers: Actively review and enhance the quality of AI Assistant responses to complex questions covering macro trends, corporate finance, and capital markets.
• Evaluate AI reasoning and accuracy: Apply your professional education and work experience to critically assess the reasoning and factual accuracy embedded within an AI Assistant’s financial outputs.
• Test AI models: Challenge AI models using intricate, real-world financial scenarios and edge cases to identify strengths and weaknesses in their analytical reasoning.
• Provide structured feedback: Offer clear, organized feedback to contribute directly to the development of smarter and more reliable AI models with each iterative version.
• Assess AI model quality: Conduct thorough evaluations of the quality, correctness, and overall performance of outputs generated by the AI models.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An existing Staff Accountant or an experienced finance professional with a strong foundation in core domain knowledge, specifically proficient in financial analysis, financial modeling, data analysis, and other complex reasoning exercises related to finance management.
• Experience: Demonstrated professional experience in the finance sector, applying financial principles and decision-making expertise to real-world scenarios.
• Skills: Native or bilingual fluency in English; a detail-oriented approach to evaluating complex information; proficiency in financial analysis, financial modeling, and data analysis.
• Bonus: A current, in progress, or completed Master’s and/or PhD in a relevant financial or business field.
