What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Take full responsibility for preparing specific branch financials, encompassing G&A, balance sheet items, and annual budgeting.
• Auditing & Compliance: Conduct periodic reviews and audits of financial results and business transactions to prevent losses and identify exceptions from policy and standard business practices.
• Operational Accounting: Complete the branch’s core accounting functions accurately and on a timely basis, adhering to established objectives and policies.
• Financial Systems Application: Utilize working knowledge of financial statement specifications, general ledger structures, and summary accounts in daily tasks.
• Process Improvement: Routinely resolve accounting issues and proactively suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A four-year college degree in accounting, finance, or another related field is required, positioning this role for an early-career Staff Accountant.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of accounting experience is preferred.
• Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of inventory and general ledger systems, along with a detailed understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts (GAAP).
• Proficiency in a variety of software including Excel, Word, and SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent verbal, writing, and communication skills, coupled with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
