The Tone:
This is a full-time, non-exempt, hybrid Staff Accountant role located in Culver City, CA, for a company seeking to strengthen its financial operations. The position plays a crucial part in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, monthly and year-end close processes, and financial reporting. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Payables: Prepare and execute the end-to-end payables process, including reviewing payment requests, recording transactions, and processing payments by various methods.
• Financial Reporting & Reconciliations: Generate financial reports, accurately process cash receipts and employee expense reimbursements, and perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Cash & Banking Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all banking matters, including account administration, payment stops and voids, and monitoring cash flow.
• Tax & Audit Support: Support corporate tax compliance, manage tax information from investment partners, and help lead external audits as a key point of contact.
• Joint Venture Oversight: Review joint venture financial statements for assigned properties, partnering with the Asset Management team to resolve issues and ensure accuracy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience: 0-5 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP’s.
• Bonus: CPA certification or progress toward a CPA license.
