This role is for a Staff Accountant supporting a transport-focused organization in Greensboro, North Carolina. The position is essential for maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s financial records and operations. You will play a crucial part in supporting core accounting functions, from daily transaction processing to month-end close activities. Your contributions directly ensure the integrity of financial data, which is vital for reporting and audit readiness.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Management: Manage daily accounting activities across accounts payable and accounts receivable to support accurate and timely transaction processing.
• General Ledger Integrity: Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
• Reconciliation & Resolution: Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Month-End Support: Assist with month-end closing tasks, including conducting account analysis and preparing supporting schedules.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain organized financial documentation, ensuring records are complete and prepared for reporting and audit support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, with a solid foundation in general accounting principles.
• Experience: Comfortable working with various financial systems and platforms.
• Skills: Accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, financial documentation, experience with accounting platforms (NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP).
• Bonus: Detail-oriented approach to financial record keeping and problem resolution.
