The TL;DR

• Pay: $50,000–$80,000 per year
• Mission: Manage all aspects of financial operations, including month-end closing, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office suite, MS Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Oversee all day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Execute: Conduct the month-end and year-end close processes in a timely and accurate manner.
• Report: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.
• Reconcile: Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, review for input accuracy, and prepare necessary monthly reports and journal entries.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Familiarity with financial accounting statements and hands-on experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially MS Excel), strong mathematical and analytical abilities, attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors, and excellent organizational skills comfortable working independently.
• Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate and report critical financial matters to management, alongside excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
