Staff Accountant | Envision

The Staff Accountant plays an integral role in the Company’s financial close process, holding primary responsibility for ensuring the accurate recording of all financial transactions within the general ledger. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting overall month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Reconcile: Analyze balance sheet accounts and prepare corresponding reconciliations.
• Process: Retrieve, process, and analyze financial data from various sources.
• Maintain: Maintain supporting accounting schedules for financial records.
• Support: Collaborate with team members across the company and respond promptly to financial inquiries, ensuring adherence to company policies and internal controls.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university. Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the ability to apply these principles to specific situations.
• Experience: No prior experience is required, though 0-2 years of public accounting or industry experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills; the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks and objectives; good verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Teams; demonstrated high integrity in handling confidential information; and the ability to adapt performance based on manager feedback.
