What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: The monthly closing process by reviewing and confirming expense ledgers, preparing necessary documentation, and managing employee expense reimbursements and company credit cards.
• Oversee: The accurate monthly recording and reconciliation of fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules, ensuring correct depreciation and expense recognition.
• Execute: All aspects of month-end close, including the preparation and processing of journal entries and thorough account reconciliations.
• Generate: Comprehensive financial reports, such as balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and internal quarterly and annual financial statements, through detailed financial analysis.
• Implement: And enforce proper accounting practices and controls across the department and company, serving as a guide for other departments on accounting principles and supporting auditing responses.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, complemented by a solid theoretical and practical understanding of accounting practices and internal controls.
• Experience: Seeks candidates with 0-3 years of accounting experience; entry-level individuals with relevant internships demonstrating core accounting skills will be given consideration.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities, including in-depth research and problem-solving; excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; excellent organizational, time management, and self-management skills; and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bonus: Desired proficiency in both Korean and English, multi-state tax experience, and professional certifications such as CPA or EA are preferred.
