This role is essential for providing accounting assistance to the Trisura Specialty Insurance Company team, with a primary focus on general ledger, account reconciliations, and critical insurance and financial reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Produce Financial Data: Produce, analyze, and present financial data, including program administrator and reinsurance reports.
• Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile various general ledger accounts and financial reports.
• Document Controls: Assist with the documentation and development of internal controls.
• Support Audits: Assist with third-party service provider requests, including external and internal auditors.
• Support System Development: Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of systems used for the generation and reporting of financial data.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field is required. Previous experience in a professional level accounting or finance role.
• Experience: Previous experience in a professional level accounting or finance role.
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, proven analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organization and planning skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Public accounting and/or insurance industry experience, CPA certification with maintained CPE requirements, and experience with NetSuite accounting software are preferred.
