Staff Accountant | Envita Solutions

This Staff Accountant role is crucial for providing accurate and timely financial information to management and maintaining proper fiduciary control over the company’s financial resources.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Close Support: Learn and participate in the monthly and annual financial statement close process, including preparing journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and processing transactions in the accounting ERP.
• Disbursement Management: Process regular and off-cycle disbursement cycles to ensure suppliers are paid according to terms and customers receive agreed-upon scrap recycling rebates.
• Accounts Payable Processing: Input accounts payable vouchers and invoices, ensuring proper documentation, approval, accurate coding to accounts and departments, and correct payment scheduling.
• Fixed Asset Accounting: Manage the detailed listing of company assets within the FAS, including recording additions, deletions, and calculating depreciation.
• Audit and Team Collaboration: Participate in year-end audit preparation by facilitating auditor requests, researching transactions, and supporting team members with compliance requests, bad debt reserve calculations, and supplier communications.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting; early career level.
• Experience: 2-5 years’ experience; preferred background in public accounting (audit or tax) or a business accounting department.
• Skills: Ability to use the Oracle PeopleSoft Accounting ERP for general ledger accounting, ability to handle sensitive financial information, strong desire to learn accounting processes and systems, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
• Bonus: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or on the CPA track upon hire.
