Staff Accountant | Nth Degree

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Nth Degree, located in Duluth, GA, functioning in a hybrid capacity (typically two days in office, three days remote). Nth Degree specializes in crafting experiences for trade shows, exhibits, and events to build stronger brands. This role supports the corporate accounting team by owning corporate credit card administration and expense management, while contributing to general ledger accounting and month-end close activities, directly impacting the company’s financial accuracy amidst significant growth.

• Mission: This person is the primary owner of the company’s American Express and corporate card processes, ensuring accurate accounting, policy compliance, and timely reconciliation of transactions.
• Tech Stack: Oracle, SAP, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, Office)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Corporate Card Administration: Administer and manage the company’s American Express (AMEX) and corporate credit card programs.
• Expense Report Processing: Review, audit, and process employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance, resolving discrepancies and missing documentation.
• Account Reconciliations: Prepare monthly balance sheet and corporate card liability account reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items.
• Journal Entry Management: Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation, analyzing account activity and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Accounting Support: Support general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and other departmental accounting functions, including month-end close activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; suitable for an Early Career accounting role.
• Experience: Prior experience with corporate credit card administration and supporting month-end close processes.
• Skills: Proficiency with MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office); strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles; demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliations.
• Bonus: Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite.
