What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile Accounts: Prepare or review ledger account reconciliations, including bank accounts, prepaid and other assets, liabilities, and credit cards.
• Monitor Coding: Verify coding accuracy for financial transactions.
• Enforce Controls: Adhere to internal financial controls as directed by the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley narratives, including sales journal verifications, bank, general ledger and subsidiary ledger account reconciliations, and revenue testing.
• Generate Reports: Prepare and/or review general ledger entries and present monthly financial reports.
• Provide Support: Assist in the preparation of various schedules and supporting financial documents.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Formal training in accounting required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business is preferred.
• Experience: No specific years required.
• Skills: Account reconciliation, general ledger management, financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and clear communication (verbal and written).
• Bonus: Prior hotel experience.
