What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Facilitate monthly financial close processes efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare: Produce and review essential financial documents, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
• Assist: Contribute to tax preparation, required filings, and audit documentation efforts, ensuring compliance.
• Analyze: Examine financial data to identify variances, contribute to cash flow visibility, and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Collaborate: Work with senior staff to improve internal controls and processes, and communicate financial information to clients and stakeholders.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with strong core accounting skills.
• Experience: No specific years required, but prior experience in public accounting or a similar professional services environment is beneficial.
• Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting; proficiency in basic tax preparation and audit support; ability to analyze financial data for trends and discrepancies; comfort working with accounting software and spreadsheets; effective written and verbal communication; strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Bonus: Progress toward or interest in CPA licensure; prior experience with growing or multi-entity businesses.
