What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Closing: You will support month-end and year-end close procedures, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and necessary schedules to ensure timely and accurate financial records.
• Reporting & Compliance: You will prepare and assist with financial statements and reports, ensuring adherence to GAAP and established internal controls and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Account Reconciliation: You will perform thorough account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to support accurate financial reporting.
• General Ledger Management: You will help maintain the general ledger, ensuring transactions are accurately and appropriately recorded for financial integrity.
• Audit Support: You will prepare essential audit schedules, gather documentation, and assist with auditor requests to facilitate the annual audit process.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, providing a strong foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards essential for this early-career role.
• Experience: Approximately 6 months to 2 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience is preferred, which may include valuable time gained through accounting internships, co-ops, or prior professional positions.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards; advanced MS Excel skills; excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bonus: Familiarity with QuickBooks Online.
