Job Description – SSGM Rising Junior Summer Internship
This is an experiential learning program designed for rising junior students interested in exploring the dynamic world of Sales, Trading, and Research within State Street Global Markets (SSGM). The internship provides opportunities to:
Experience:
• Immerse yourself in the lively and academic atmosphere of SSGM’s business lines.
• Gain hands-on experience aligned with your interests and skill sets.
• Participate in additional projects to broaden your understanding of global financial markets.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with sales and trading activities.
• Analyze market trends.
• Conduct market and quantitative research.
• Handle day-to-day transaction needs.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 preferred.
• Undergraduate degrees in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, quantitative finance, or related fields.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills.
• Previous experience in mathematics, engineering, statistics, machine learning, or programming is a plus.

Program Structure:
• Two 10-week internships over two consecutive summers.
• Successful completion of the first summer internship leads to placement in the Rising Senior Intern Platform the following year.
