The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Full-time
• Pay: $100,000–$124,950 yearly
• Team: Reports to Director – NERC Compliance
• Mission: To support the Internal Compliance Program by coordinating NERC compliance activities, monitoring performance, facilitating risk assessments, leading new initiatives, and ensuring audit readiness for AES’s expanding energy portfolio.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, reporting tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Report: Perform and report on NERC Compliance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and various compliance program metrics.
• Coordinate: Coordinate and facilitate the annual Internal Compliance Program (ICP) review, including documenting findings and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Assess: Conduct annual NERC compliance risk assessments and diligently maintain the associated compliance risk register.
• Lead: Lead special projects related to NERC Compliance, such as establishing new programs for newly registered functions within AES.
• Manage: Serve as the primary administrative coordinator for audits, spot checks, self-certifications, and other regulatory reviews, managing audit schedules, evidence requests, stakeholder communications, and regulatory submissions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior career level with core domain knowledge in compliance administration, technical writing, auditing, risk management, regulatory affairs, or utility operations.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance administration, technical writing, auditing, risk management, regulatory affairs, or utility operations.
• Skills: Strong understanding of NERC Rules of Procedure, Registration and Certification; strong organizational, analytical, AI, and project coordination skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and reporting tools.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in business, Risk Management, or a related field; knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards and compliance processes.
