Sr. Marketing Director – Institutional North America Lodging, Long-Term Care, Facilities | Ecolab

The Tone:
This is a full-time leadership role at Ecolab, serving the North American Institutional market. Ecolab Institutional is a global leader committed to powering outcomes that matter for customers in Foodservice, Lodging, Long-Term Care, Education, and Commercial Facilities. This director will lead marketing strategy, product portfolio, and innovation for a significant part of the North American business, ensuring sustained growth and market leadership through customer-focused solutions and strong partnerships.

• Mission: Lead segment marketing, portfolio management, and innovation for Ecolab’s $1.2B+ Institutional North America Lodging, Long-Term Care, and Facilities business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Leadership: Contribute to the short-, mid-, and long-term marketing strategy for the business, supporting annual operating plans and investment prioritization.
• Portfolio Ownership: Own the North America product portfolio strategy, including value propositions, innovation focus areas, program design, and lifecycle management across multiple product lines.
• Innovation Management: Lead the innovation strategy and 3-5 year pipeline across core categories, partnering with Research & Development and Digital to define roadmaps grounded in customer needs.
• Go-to-Market Execution: Lead the go-to-market and sales activation strategy for the Lodging, Long-Term Care, and Facilities segments, accountable for top-line growth and customer retention.
• Team Development: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of approximately 9 marketers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree and 12-15+ years of progressive marketing, strategy, or commercial experience, with a preference for business-to-business segment and/or portfolio marketing.
• Experience: 7+ years leading and developing teams, with demonstrated success influencing and delivering in a matrixed organization, and a track record of driving segment portfolio growth, lifecycle management, and innovation.
• Skills: Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills, able to connect strategy to clear plans and measurable outcomes; ability to blend core marketing fundamentals with data-driven practices; proven ability to influence and present to executive-level leadership.
• Bonus: MBA in Marketing or comparable graduate degree; business-to-business marketing experience in Hospitality, Long-Term Care/Senior Living, Healthcare, Education, Government, Facilities Management, or Commercial Cleaning industries; experience leading integrated strategies across manufacturer-branded and distributor co-branded portfolios; experience building demand-generation engines and running integrated marketing campaigns; experience with external innovation and forging third-party relationships.
