What You’ll Actually Do
• System Design and Implementation: Collaborate with internal teams to design, implement, test, optimize, cutover, and document communication systems that meet customer specifications.
• System Configuration: Utilize design tools and formalized processes to perform remote and onsite configuration of network, server, RF, and database components, generating ‘as-configured’ documentation.
• Installation Oversight: Oversee the onsite installation of network, server, and RF equipment using system design drawings and product documentation, providing ‘as-built’ information for final documentation.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Perform onsite and remote troubleshooting of networks, servers, databases, and RF infrastructure using system logs and tools, including preventative maintenance routines.
• Acceptance Testing and Optimization: Execute product and system test plans for acceptance testing, correcting deficiencies, and performing performance verification and optimization of digital and analog RF infrastructure.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with a strong background in LMR, RF systems, radio communications, wired/wireless communication systems, IT systems, telecommunications, or public safety engineering.
• Experience: 6+ years of experience with server virtualization (VMWare ESXi v.6+, Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+), Windows Server OS, LAN/WAN IP networks, and Motorola communication equipment (e.g., G-Series base stations, Astro25 Master Site).
• Skills: Proficient in multi-site RF communication systems, computer/networking (cabling, routers, switches, firewalls), and using various communications test equipment like system analyzers and Ethernet test sets.
• Bonus: Industry network certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Juniper JNCIA, Cisco CCNA, or Nokia NRS1.
