Job Description: Spring Strategy Internship
This is a four-month, full-time internship offered by The Culinary Edge, structured as an immersive apprenticeship designed to cultivate a deep understanding of scalable food and beverage concepts.
Key Details:
• Job Title: Spring Strategy Internship
• Duration: Mid-January to end of May 2026 (4 months). Dates are flexible based on school schedules.
• Location: The Culinary Edge home office in San Francisco, California (SOMA neighborhood test kitchen). Interns are required to work in-person 4-5 times a week.
• Hours: Approximately 37 hours per week, with flexible hours that may differ week to week. It is not recommended for full-time students.
• Compensation: $20/hour

Program Overview:
The internship aims to prepare individuals for a career in food & beverage strategy by exposing them to various aspects of the industry, including F&B concepting, operations, brand design, menu strategy, and product development. Interns are integral members of the Strategy Team, assigned to projects alongside other team members, and follow projects through all phases from creative to development and launch. They contribute to projects at many stages, occasionally managing independent tasks.

• College students taking a gap semester who can be present in San Francisco for the entire duration.

Sample Responsibilities:
• Support strategy and culinary teams on client projects, including writing, copyediting, deck building, proofing deliverables, imagery collection, and research.
• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions.
• Conduct research on restaurant concepts, industry trends and periodicals, ingredients, plateware, and packaging.
• Capture and disseminate notes for creative ideation sessions and meetings.
• Assist in the creation of client-facing materials for various projects.
• Coordinate reception, hospitality, and meals for client meetings, general guest hospitality, and space management.
• Shop for ingredients, supplies, and materials.
Required Experience and Skills:

Minimum Requirements:
• Undergraduate student (junior or senior) or a recent graduate (within the last 12 months).
• Strong working knowledge of Mac, Microsoft Office Suites, and Google Suites.
• Ability to work in-person 4-5 times a week at the San Francisco test kitchen.
