CLD PR (@cldstyle) is a public relations firm specializing in celebrity, influencer, and media seeding. They boast an impressive client roster including A-list celebrities such as Rihanna, Camila Cabello, Jenna Ortega, and many more. Their work has been featured in top-tier magazines like Vogue, Elle, Glamour, and Vanity Fair. Beyond celebrity relations, CLD PR also specializes in event production, collaborating with brands like Celsius, White Fox, and Colourpop. A unique aspect of CLD PR is their commitment to internal growth; approximately 60% of their staff began as interns.
Job Description: Unpaid Spring Internship
CLD PR is seeking enthusiastic interns for their Spring season. This is an unpaid internship offering academic credit for students, requiring a 2-4 month commitment. Interns work 1-3 days a week (chosen by the intern), from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The internship program is designed to provide hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, allowing interns to collaborate with industry professionals and contribute to exciting projects. All entry-level positions at CLD PR are filled from within this internship program.
The company has seven departments:
• Celebrity: Securing celebrity placements, supporting the gifting team, and executing strategies to increase brand visibility. Requires strong knowledge of current A-list celebrities.
• Influencer: Similar to the Celebrity team, but focused on influencers across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Media: Conducting editor outreach, managing editor gifting, monitoring for brand placements, and assisting with social media management.
• Showroom: Securing placements on celebrities and in magazine editorials, handling merchandise, assisting stylists, maintaining showroom aesthetics, and gathering images for pitches.
• Events: Building outreach lists for brand partners, providing administrative assistance, aiding in event production, and potentially working at Los Angeles-based events.
• Operations: Managing inventory using LaunchMetrics Fashion GPS software, offering experience in merchandising, wholesale, administration, or buying. This will likely not be the main focus of the internship but may require support as needed.
• Business Development: Identifying and researching new brands, developing outreach strategies, and creating pitch materials. This will likely not be the main focus of the internship but may require support as needed.
Ideal Candidate Expectations:
CLD PR seeks self-driven, independent individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments. Key qualities include: a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, attention to detail, initiative, excellent communication skills, strong research abilities, teamwork skills, computer literacy (including Office Suite, Photoshop, Instagram, TikTok), the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, a positive attitude, organization, receptiveness to constructive criticism, creative problem-solving skills, reliability, punctuality, some fashion industry exposure, a strong interest in public relations, and a personal vehicle (a plus, but not required). Applicants must be 18 or older.
