About the Sports Media Intern Role:

As a Sports Media Intern, you will be at the forefront of athletic and sports coverage, responsible for capturing high-energy photo and video content. Your work will involve covering games, tournaments, and producing engaging recaps that resonate with audiences. This role requires flexibility, as evenings and weekends are essential for event coverage.

Specific Location & Availability:

• Location: NYC / Westchester (On-site + Hybrid)
• Availability: Evenings and weekends required for event coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shoot compelling photo and video content at a variety of sports games and athletic events.
• Capture dynamic action shots, enthusiastic crowd moments, and engaging athlete features.
• Edit and produce professional highlight reels, comprehensive game recaps, and concise social media clips.
• Perform meticulous retouching of sports photography to ensure high-quality output.
• Deliver all content efficiently, adhering to fast post-game timelines.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (completed or currently enrolled).
• Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom is essential.
• Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to various venues.
• Sports Acumen: A strong understanding of sports pacing and visual storytelling relevant to athletics.
• Work Hours: Comfortable working nights and weekends as dictated by event schedules.

Portfolio Required:

Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing their sports photo and/or video samples. Please include highlight reels or recaps if available, demonstrating your ability to capture and produce dynamic sports content.
