Job Description: Sports Management Marketing Intern

This internship at Volo offers a comprehensive experience in the sports industry, focusing on sports management and marketing. The intern will work directly with the Volo team, gaining hands-on experience in various facets of the business.

Key Aspects of the Internship:

Role Purpose: To assist with day-to-day league operations, encompassing customer service, partner relations, data management, and marketing projects.
Training & Development: Interns will receive an overview of crucial business areas including sales, business development, marketing, networking, operations, and finance.
Career Opportunity: Upon successful completion, there is an opportunity for permanent hire, either in a part-time or full-time capacity, demonstrating the company’s commitment to developing talent.
Start Date: Flexible, but ideally around August 25th.
Compensation & Requirements: This is an unpaid internship, and candidates must require college credit to be eligible.

Primary Responsibilities:

The internship is divided into two main areas: Sports Operations and Sports Marketing.

1. Sports Operations:

League & Event Management: Assist with the creation and planning of leagues, events, and tournaments.
Financial Support: Support the Sports Team with revenue projections and growth initiatives.
Administrative Tasks: Assist with game reports, customer service inquiries, scheduling, and data entry.
Inventory Management: Responsible for the inventory and upkeep of sports equipment and shirts.
On-Site Support: Assist with day-to-day operations preparations, including field setup and supervision.
General Administration: Provide administrative and clerical support for all departments.
Quality Assurance: Evaluate and audit leagues, tournaments, and events to ensure quality.

2. Sports Marketing:

Content Creation: Create digital marketing materials to promote upcoming leagues and events.
Analytics: Analyze social media analytics to gauge performance.
Video Production: Create and post reels highlighting specific leagues or events.
Campaign Management: Establish and implement marketing campaigns tailored to the intern class.
