Specialty Product Preparer & Demonstrator | Crossmark Inc.

The Tone:

This position is crucial for bringing specialty products, like fresh juice, to life for customers through engaging demonstrations and sampling. The role directly impacts consumer connection, drives product sales, and ensures all operations adhere to strict safety and food handling guidelines within a dynamic retail environment.

• Mission: Prepare and demonstrate specialty products to engage consumers and ensure sales, while adhering to strict safety and food handling guidelines.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Setup & Preparation: Properly set up and prepare the designated area for specialized food products, meticulously reviewing all accompanying materials to understand program scope, instructions, production requirements, and compliance standards.
• Product Demonstration: Conduct engaging food sampling and demonstrations for customers, effectively showcasing products like fresh juice, and adapting to the needs of the business, following general set-up and teardown guidelines.
• Safety & Compliance: Diligently follow all safety requirements when using equipment such as hot machinery or sharp blades, practice proper lifting techniques for heavy merchandise, and adhere to all required tasks and procedures related to safe food handling, preparation, production, packaging, labeling, merchandising, and disposal.
• Work Environment Maintenance: Maintain a consistently clean, sterile, and safe work area using proper cleaning chemicals and equipment, and follow safety and compliance guidelines for appropriate machine operation, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Administrative & Support: Accurately complete all reporting requirements, including online submissions, regularly check the product event schedule and email for updates and instructions, complete required certifications, attend special training sessions, and assist teammates with event set-up, clean-up, or kitchen duties as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires applicable state and local food safety certification or license to ensure compliance with all food handling regulations. This role is ideal for individuals seeking an early career opportunity in product promotion or the food service industry.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are explicitly required for this role, however, the ability to safely and effectively prepare products and conduct engaging demonstrations is essential.
• Skills: Ability to safely and effectively prepare juice and other specialty products for purchase; proficiency in conducting engaging demonstrations and sampling events; meticulous adherence to food safety, handling, and equipment operation guidelines; strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, co-workers, and management; capability to read and interpret detailed program materials and instructions.
• Bonus: Previous experience in Product Marketing, Product Demonstrations, or within the food, beverage, or restaurant industry is highly preferred.
