• Salary: The position pays $16.83 per hour, with a maximum annual salary of $35,000.

• Education/Experience Required:
• Must have, or have the ability to obtain, a current School Psychologist Intern Authorization from the Colorado Department of Education.
• A four-year college degree in behavioral/social sciences is required.
• Completion of graduate coursework in educational/psychological assessment.

• Summary/Objective of the Role:
This internship offers a comprehensive experience, encompassing targeted and comprehensive assessment, consultation with teachers, crisis intervention, individual and group work, progress monitoring, behavioral and academic interventions, and aiding in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Interns will have the valuable opportunity to serve on various district-wide teams, including Autism, Resource Team, Multicultural Assessment Team, Traumatic Brain Injury, Behavior Support Team, Assistive Technology, and Response to Interventions Teams. Supervision for the internship is provided according to National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) guidelines.
• Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities):
• Participates in activities related to behavior, academic, and psychological intervention and consultation to support school-wide prevention and intervention programs.
• Observes and evaluates children with learning or behavioral difficulties through a systematic referral process aligned with state and federal laws.
• Contributes as a member of IEP teams and support teams to develop comprehensive service plans and recommend appropriate intervention strategies.
• Suggests external sources of treatment or assistance (medical, psychiatric, psychological, counseling) when needed and requested by parents.
• Assists in conducting individual and group counseling with students to facilitate personal, social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Serves as a consultant for the special educational needs of identified students.
• Prepares and submits psycho-educational reports to document assessment results and provide instructional recommendations.
• Consults with personnel from community health, social welfare agencies, and juvenile courts as necessary to address student needs comprehensively.
• Provides in-service training to school personnel in relevant areas.
• Attends weekly individual supervision sessions with assigned mentor psychologist(s).
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Serves as a member of district-wide committees/teams as appropriate.
• Ensures compliance with all School District policies and procedures.
