Sourcing and Procurement- Analyst | General Dynamics Information Technology
The Tone:
This is a regular, full-time hybrid role at General Dynamics Information Technology, located in Falls Church, VA. GDIT is a global technology and professional services company that delivers technology solutions and mission services to every major agency across the U.S. government, defense, and intelligence community. Your work leading acquisition strategy during capture will power competitive proposals, strengthen supplier partnerships, and position GDIT for long-term mission success by supporting the effectiveness and consistency of the Sourcing & Procurement organization.

• Mission: Lead and execute procurement activities to support GDIT’s mission success, ensuring compliance and enhancing procurement outcomes.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead and support sourcing activities across hardware, software, and service commodities, ensuring alignment with category strategies.
• Prepare and execute sourcing events, gathering and validating business requirements, and assessing supplier capabilities using structured evaluation criteria.
• Develop and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs)/RFPs, manage documentation and timelines, and perform supplier and cost analyses to inform recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records, uphold procurement policies and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication, coordinate supplier meetings, drive issue resolution, and support early-stage supplier engagement.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field; 4 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience: 4+ years of related experience in procurement or procurement-adjacent fields such as business, supply chain, operations, or government contracting.
• Skills: Procurement, Purchasing Processes, Request for Quotation (RFQ), Sourcing and Procurement, Supply Chain, analytical abilities, and strong written/oral communication.
• Bonus: Government procurement experience is highly desired; US Person is required for the nature of the role.
