Job Description: Institutional Equity Derivatives Trading & Structuring Sophomore Summer Analyst Program (New York)
This 10-week program offers a comprehensive experience in the world of Institutional Equity at Morgan Stanley. It includes:
• One week of classroom training: This will introduce you to the firm’s businesses, the culture of working at Morgan Stanley, and provide essential skills for success.
• Multiple rotations across the Equity division: You’ll gain hands-on experience in various desks, including Trading, Distribution, and Prime Brokerage.
• On-the-job training and mentorship: You’ll work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects and benefit from a robust mentorship program.
• Opportunities for professional development: The program includes a Senior Management Speaker Series, desk teach-ins, networking events, community service, performance reviews, and more.
Focus Areas:
This program is specifically designed for those interested in more quantitative, trading, or structuring/content roles within Equities. If you’re interested in Sales, Prime Brokerage, or Sales-Trading, please apply to the 2025 Institutional Equity Sophomore Summer Analyst Program (New York) for those roles.
Equity Derivatives:
Morgan Stanley is a leading provider of execution services and solutions in global equity derivatives markets. Our product suite includes equity options, equity swaps, warrants, structured notes, and futures on individual securities, indices, and baskets of securities.

• AMM

• Structuring
• QDS
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong interest in finance and markets, although no prior knowledge is required.
• Collaborative, quick learner, adaptable, versatile, multi-tasker, enjoys problem-solving, and possesses a strong work ethic.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Compensation:
Expected base pay rate will be $36.06 per hour at the commencement of employment. Final compensation will be determined on an individualized basis and may include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefits.
