Job Description
Cisco’s Sales Associates Program is a global program that provides structured training and on-the-job experience to develop technical, sales, and communication skills. Participants in the program will learn how to position Cisco’s architectures, solutions, products, and technologies to customers.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will transition into a Solutions Engineering role as part of Cisco’s Global Virtual Engineering (GVE) Team. GVE is a technical presales organization that provides software and Solutions Engineering services to customers, partners, and internal Cisco sales teams.
As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Discovering, demonstrating, and designing solutions to meet customer needs
• Engaging with customers and partners to understand their technical requirements
• Providing technical support to Cisco sales teams
• Developing and delivering technical presentations
• Collaborating with other members of the GVE team
Qualifications
• Recent graduate of a technical degree, ideally with an emphasis on networking and computing
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar or adjacent industry, in technical or presales support, or system engineer role
• Passionate about technical solutions sales and working with customers
• Excited about turning technical requirements into business value
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certified or currently learning towards CCNA
• Real passion for technology, with an emphasis on networking and computing
• Ability to creatively apply technology to solve customer problems
• Fluent in English and Japanese
• Demonstrate eagerness to establish a long-term Technical Sales career with Cisco
