Solutions Architect Intern – AI Research
NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join their team as a Solutions Architect Intern. This role will contribute to accelerating AI research on the NVIDIA platform, using the world’s fastest AI supercomputers. Solutions Architects are the primary technical contacts for NVIDIA’s clients, engaging deeply with researchers and developers to drive the adoption of NVIDIA technology.
Responsibilities:
• Support interactions with academic users on Generative AI, understanding their needs and goals.
• Collaborate with the Solutions Architect (SA) team to define and deliver solutions that meet these needs.
• Identify specific use cases and develop tailored recipes or playbooks using NVIDIA frameworks to support cutting-edge research (e.g., accelerated data curation pipelines or video data loading pipelines).
• Contribute to the massive scaling of AI training on HPC clusters, providing example use cases for end-users.
• Interact with academic and industry users, defining and delivering solutions that meet their needs.
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a PhD in a STEM field.
• 2+ years of work or research experience in High-Performance Computing or Deep Learning.
• Fluent in English and French (oral and written).
• Action-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and independent, capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, adept at interacting with customers.
• Experience with DL frameworks, multi-GPU computing, and Generative AI.
Desired Skills:
• Passion for accelerated computing.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLM), Multimodal Language Models (MLM), Video Processing, or Foundation Models (FM).
• Expertise in massive dataset preparation and pre-processing.
• Experience working with supercomputers at scale.
• Skilled in profiling and analyzing AI training runs.
Location: Bologna, Italy
Duration: 4-6 months
