The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Workday, primarily located in Pleasanton, California, with flexibility for remote work part of the time. As a Sr Solution Architect, you are vital to the success of Workday’s Solution Consulting organization, acting as a crucial connection point between Sales, Product, Services, and Marketing. Your work involves showcasing Workday’s advanced solutions to diverse audiences globally, developing innovative solutions for some of the toughest industries, and helping customers realize the full power of Workday’s offerings.

• Pay: $130400–$231700 yearly
• Team: Solution Architecture team within the Solution Consulting organization, collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Services, and Marketing.
• Mission: To creatively and strategically develop groundbreaking demo solutions and provide expert sales support for Workday’s Financial product suite, influencing product improvements and best practices, thereby helping customers realize the power of Workday.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Solution Development: Develop compelling demo solutions that effectively showcase the comprehensive value of Workday’s Financial product suite.
• Sales Enablement: Provide essential sales support for active strategic opportunities and contribute to critical sales demonstrations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with world-class Development, Product Strategy, Professional Services, and Solution Consulting teams to refine messaging and design impactful solutions.
• Product Improvement & Influence: Collaborate with development teams to improve Workday Financial products and actively influence the future product roadmap.
• Operational Management & Best Practices: Maintain the operational environments surrounding the Financial product for commercial and industry-specific demos, and disseminate product best practices throughout the Workday organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with deep core domain knowledge in financials, including general accounting, revenue, debits, and credits.
• Experience: Possess 5+ years of experience in core financials, combined with 5+ years working closely with Workday Financial applications or competing ERP products. Prior experience implementing ERP systems is also required.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to design operational workflows, excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-motivation to thrive independently, and strong collaboration as a team player. Must also be a creative thinker capable of tackling challenging problems.
• Bonus: Experience with Workday Prism/Reporting, Analytics, and Accounting Center. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology, CPA licensure, and the ability to travel periodically for team meetings and Presales/Marketing events are also preferred.
