Job Description: Software Engineering Summer Scholar
This is a paid summer internship program running until December 2024.
What you’ll do:
• Full Stack Cloud Native Product Development: As a Software Engineering Summer Scholar, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of building cloud-based applications.
• Scrum Team Environment: You’ll work in a 2-pizza scrum team model, collaborating closely with other software engineers.
• Cutting-Edge Technologies: You’ll gain hands-on experience with the latest cloud technologies to develop highly scalable software.
• DevOps Principles & Practices: You’ll use DevOps principles and practices to ensure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) of code.
• Complex Problem Solving: You’ll tackle real-world challenges for Deloitte’s clients and develop solutions that meet their needs.
• Diverse Team Collaboration: You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with team members from various backgrounds and experiences.

Required qualifications:
• Current enrollment in a full-time academic program: Target graduation date should be by Spring/Summer 2026.
• Bachelor’s degree in progress: Major should be in any STEM-related discipline.
• Strong foundation in computer science subjects: Including Software Engineering, Software Development, Programming Languages, Data Structures, Algorithms Design & Analysis, Operating Systems & System Programming, or Computer Architecture.
• Programming ability: Must be proficient in at least one modern language, such as Java, C++, C#, or Python, with familiarity with object-oriented design.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States: Must be authorized to work without employer sponsorship.
• Ability to travel: Up to 50% on average, depending on the projects and clients you work with.
• Must be at least 18 years of age: At the time of employment.
Wage range:
• The wage range for this role is estimated to be $41/hour. This range takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business needs.
