Job Description: Software Engineering Internship/Co-op

This job code is exclusively for internships and co-ops; it’s not for temporary or contract workers. The program is designed to jumpstart careers, fostering relationships, developing business and interpersonal skills, providing exposure to daily operations of a Fortune 30 media and technology company, and offering mentorship opportunities.

Program Overview: The internship/co-op program immerses students in the daily operations of a media and technology company, working alongside Comcast’s innovators on creative and innovative projects across various business units.

Organization & Team Overview: The internship is within Comcast’s Technology, Product & Experience (TPX) organization, which focuses on the intersection of media and technology. TPX develops products that transform the customer experience, from apps like TVGo to features like the X1 platform’s Talking Guide. The team also develops and supports network architecture, including next-generation consumer systems, infrastructure and engineering, network integration and management tools, and technical standards.

Role Description: The intern will function as a software engineer, managing the complete lifecycle of moderately complex projects (approval, planning, execution, and closeout). This includes developing timelines and plans, tracking progress, and communicating updates to stakeholders. The intern will collaborate with a cross-functional team to establish and achieve project goals.

Specific Projects: The intern will work on a family of “P2” software tools used for:

• Construction workflow management
• Network topology
• “The Internet” infrastructure changes
• Reporting
• Operations

Intern Responsibilities: Responsibilities include (but aren’t limited to):

• Creating software products using Javascript, Node.js, Mongo, React, and Express.
• Evolving infrastructure using the HashiCorp stack (Nomad, Consul, Vault, Terraform), AWS, ELK, Telegraf, and Grafana.
• Thinking critically, learning new concepts, translating business needs into technical solutions, and converting those solutions into computer programs.
• Being readily available, sharing knowledge, and assisting team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills: JavaScript / TypeScript, NodeJS, ReactJS, GraphQL, MongoDB, SQL, AWS: Step/Lambda Functions, S3

Preferred Majors: Computer Science / Software Engineering

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University with a cooperative learning track.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 6 months, from September 22, 2025, to March 27, 2026.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship needs.
• Ability to report in-person to the work location specified in the job posting.
