Software Engineering Internship at Cargill
This internship is designed to equip future software engineers with real-world experience and prepare them for a successful career journey. Interns will be part of a global Digital Technology & Data team, collaborating with experienced professionals and gaining hands-on experience in various business scenarios.
Key responsibilities:
• Apply and build engineering skills: Work on projects related to cloud platforms, big data platforms, and application development, gaining practical experience in these areas.
• Learn from industry experts: Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, fostering personal and professional growth.
• Contribute to real-world solutions: Participate in projects that directly impact Cargill’s strategic initiatives and support the company’s mission to nourish the world.

Internship details:
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Compensation: $24.00-$34.00 per hour, based on graduation date and full-time employment eligibility.
• Location: Atlanta, GA
• Start date: May/June 2025
• End date: Early August 2025
Required qualifications:
• Authorization to work in the U.S.: Must have the right to work in the U.S.
• Current student: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Graduation date: Must graduate between December 2025 and Summer 2026.
• Geographic flexibility: Must be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA for the internship.
• Academic performance: Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Technical skills: Basic knowledge of programming structures, systems analysis and design, database design, and business concepts.
• Soft skills: Strong initiative, resourcefulness, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications:
• Previous internship experience: Experience with software engineering internships.
• Commercial product development: Experience developing software for commercial products.
• Agile methodologies: Experience working with agile development methodologies.
• Analytical skills: Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
