Software Engineering Internship
This internship provides a hands-on opportunity for aspiring software engineers to gain real-world experience working on global digital technology and data projects at Cargill. Interns will work on real business challenges, applying their engineering skills in areas like cloud platform, big data platform, and application development, while receiving mentorship and supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to software engineering projects, applying skills in analytical thinking, leadership, collaboration, inclusion, and innovation.
• Gain exposure to various Cargill businesses and functions.
• Participate in diverse events such as orientation, summer activities, volunteer opportunities, and the Cargill Intern Forum.
• Learn about Cargill’s diverse businesses and contribute to their mission of nourishing the world through technology.
• Participate in ongoing performance evaluations and receive feedback on their work.
Internship Details:
• Duration: Typically 12 weeks
• Compensation: $24.00 – $34.00 per hour (based on graduation date and full-time employment eligibility).
• Location: Atlanta, GA
Key Requirements:
• Right to work in the U.S. (not based on a student visa or third-party employer sponsorship).
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology field.
• Graduation date between December 2025 and Summer 2026.
• Geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate to Atlanta, GA for the summer internship.
• Ability to complete a 12-week internship during the summer (May/June – early August 2025).
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to apply it to job-related duties.
• High degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing tasks with minimal guidance.
• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and cultures.
• Knowledge of basic structure programming, systems analysis and design, database design, and business concepts.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous software engineering internship experience.
• Commercial product software development experience.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and information research skills.
